WORKSHOPS

CTA is committed to making theatre education available to all, regardless of income status. If tuition poses a financial hardship, scholarships and payment plans are available. COVID Safety Protocol:

MASKS ARE OPTIONAL! If you choose for your student to wear a face mask, you must supply one.
Only students pre-registered for the workshop will be admitted to CTA.
Parents must check students in and out with a teaching artist/staff member at the front door.
Doors will remain locked. Guests must call the office (410-757-2281) or ring the doorbell.
WASH THOSE HANDS! CTA has hand sanitizer and hand washing areas with soap and water available.
COVID-19 Assumption of Risk, Release, and Waiver of Liability Agreement - All parents/guardians must sign & return along with the usual release/waiver documentation.
CTA has replaced water fountains with water bottle refilling stations for a more sanitary and green option for students, guest, and staff.
During the workshop period (and in the few weeks after), should your student/s or someone in your household test positive for COVID-19 you must notify CTA (info@childrenstheareofannapolis.org) immediately. We will then notify all families in that workshop session, teaching artists, CTA's Board of Directors and staff that someone involved (names will not be released) has tested positive and recommend that everyone take the necessary actions (example: consult your family physician/doctor, be tested, go in to quarantine for the time period required.) We will then evaluate going into an online session for the time period mandated for quarantine.
Should a new state or county order change any of these requirements or prohibit us from being in-person, we will adjust our schedule according to the time period mandated.

PRODUCTION WORKSHOPS with Tiffany Shannon Productions

Through theatre production workshops students gain experience and knowledge in acting techniques, improvisation, characterization, movement, props, scenery, and much more. These workshops conclude with a final performance on our main stage. In production workshops, teamwork is a major focus and all participants are guaranteed a role. We encourage students with all levels of experience to attend. * NOTE: Theatre Production Workshop show titles are subject to change due to cast size and requirements.

AGES: 7-17

WHEN: 5:30-7:30 p. m.; Mondays, February 21-May 16, 2022. Final Performance: 6:30 p.m.; May 16, 2022.

AGES: 7-13

WHEN: 4:30-6:30 p. m.; Wednesdays, February 23-May 18, 2022. Final Performance: 5:30 p.m.; May 18, 2022.

THEATRE PRODUCTION WORKSHOPS

AGES: 7-17

WHEN: 4:30-6:30 p. m.; Tuesdays, March 8-May 17, 2022. Final Performance: 5:30 p.m.; May 17, 2022.

The Fine Print

Registration is required for all workshops. A one time Registration Fee must be paid annually for students to participate in theatre arts education sessions. The Annual Registration Fee is $20 for one or more students per family and is valid from July 1 until June 30 annually.

Students are required wear comfortable clothes and sneakers or closed toe shoes (no Crocs, sandals, flip-flops or skirts for the ladies.) Students are not allowed to bring cell phones, toys, games or other electronic devices. A telephone is available for emergency use.

Cancellation Policy:

Minimum of 3 weeks prior to workshop: Full refund minus annual registration fee.
2 weeks prior to workshop: Refund minus $75 administrative fee and annual registration fee.
First day of workshop or later: No refund.

Inclement Weather Policy: Workshops follow the Anne Arundel County School closings. If schools are closed or afternoon and evening activities are cancelled, the workshop is cancelled for the day. You can email info@childrenstheatreofannapolis.org if you have questions or concerns.

Check In/Out Policy: Please know that the purpose of all this is for your student’s safety and well-being. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping our program run smoothly!

Students, including teens, must be checked in and out by a responsible adult. Please sign your student into their class and say hi to the teacher or supervising adult. This will help us to know who you are!
If you will be more than 5 minutes late picking up your student, please call the Instructor or our office at 410-757-2281 to let us know.
Please notify the teacher if another adult has your permission to pick up your student that day. Parents must understand that once their student is signed out, they are no longer the responsibility of Children’s Theatre of Annapolis.
